For strength and stability, the tabletop is medium-density fiberboard with painted, real wood veneer. A consistent humidity level of approximately 50% is recommended to prevent cracks and surface splits. The tabletop and dowel base is crafted from solid walnut or solid oak. Tables are finished in Rubio® Monocoat ‐ a durable, matte, oil‐based protector designed to highlight the beauty of natural wood. However, due to varying moisture levels, temperatures and regions across Australia, natural splitting, cracking (known as checking) and loss of natural oils may still occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of our solid wood products. These do not compromise the items performance or integrity in any way and are not viewed as imperfections or faults but rather part of timber’s natural life and beauty. 

We recommend cleaning Our Baylor products with a damp cloth. Never use acidic household cleaners as they will affect the furniture’s finish. Dust regularly. Avoid placing any indoor furniture piece in direct sunlight.
