Echo Series of Pendants
Introducing our Echo series of pendants, where each piece tells a heartfelt story. Inspired by a powerful interview with Dr. Terarai Trent, the journey began with a dream to build a global village, supporting artisans from vulnerable communities. These pendants embody the love and dedication of their makers, each with its own unique story and slight imperfections.
We are honoured to share these beautiful creations with you and grateful to have customers who cherish the artistry and the purpose behind every piece.
Our incredible female artisans glow with pride as they talk about how their craft allows them to educate their children. Their daughters now have a chance at a brighter future, a future that might have seemed impossible otherwise.
We are privileged to work with two wonderful groups of women from the remote corners of Kenya and Southern Africa.
We’d love for you to meet them.
In the serene Taita Hills of South East Kenya, a group of women come together to weave our Handwoven Pendants. They not only share materials and skills but also the laughter, songs, and stories that bring their work to life. They proudly call themselves 'Mapatano,' meaning 'togetherness,' a testament to their close-knit community.
For these women, weaving is more than a livelihood; it’s a beacon of hope as they face the challenges of increasingly severe droughts in a region traditionally reliant on farming.
Our Pulp Collection, handmade by artisans in Southern Africa, is crafted from recycled magazines and dried under the sun’s warmth. Each piece is a labor of love, made from start to finish by one artisan, providing essential employment.
These artisans enjoy secure, full-time contracts and earn up to 2-3 times the minimum wage in their country. Though their team is small, it has grown since our collaboration began, with plans to welcome another member in the coming months.
