However, due to varying moisture levels, temperatures and regions across Australia, natural splitting, cracking (known as checking) and loss of natural oils may still occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of our solid wood products. These do not compromise the items performance or integrity in any way and are not viewed as imperfections or faults but rather part of timber’s natural life and beauty.
